Montgomery is a convenient drive from many southern cities, including Atlanta (2.5 hours), Pensacola (2.5 hours), Nashville (4 hours), New Orleans (4 hours), and Savannah (5.5 hours). Three airports serve the Montgomery-region.

​Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM)

​A small regional airport less than 15 minutes from downtown Montgomery, AL. Offers direct flights from Atlanta, Charlotte (NC), Washington D.C., and Dallas-Fort Worth (TX) with additional connecting options on American Airlines and Delta.

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport (BHM)

​Largest airport in the state located 1.5 hours north of Montgomery. An international airport with 30 airlines serving over 130 direct routes and offering over 450 one-stop destinations. There is no mass transit from Montgomery to Birmingham, so a rental car would be necessary.  

​Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL)

​Located 2.5 hours from Montgomery with a 1-hour time difference. World's largest airline hub with over 1,000 flights a day to 225 domestic and international destinations. There is no mass transit from Montgomery to Atlanta, so a rental car would be necessary.

Unfortunately, Montgomery does not have frequent, reliable public transportation.

While the downtown area is walkable, use of either ride share services or a rental car will likely be necessary.

Both Uber and Lyft are available in Montgomery. However, during late hours, drivers may be limited and wait times can vary from 5-15 minutes.

Free parking is available at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts for Saturday's wedding ceremony and reception.

​Located within Eastchase, a shopping center and restaurant hub, approximately 15 minutes from downtown. Includes complimentary breakfast, heated pool, and fitness center. ​

​In addition to the above-listed hotels, home and apartment rentals can be found through AirBnB and VRBO. For homes with historic charm, we recommend​ the Garden District and Old Cloverdale neighborhoods. For accessibility to downtown we recommend Cottage Hill and Capital Heights. For access to chain restaurants and stores, we recommend homes located near Eastchase and Pike Road.
